This growing collection starts with 38 documented occasions; it is not an exhaustive timeline of Iranian history. We do not assign arbitrary dates to ancient events without a reliable day and month.
Date conventions & calendar differences
This solar calendar uses the Imperial era and a Saturday-first week. Imperial years equal Solar Hijri years plus 1180; months, days and leap-year rules stay unchanged. Today and countdowns are calculated in Iran’s time zone.
By default, traditional name-day festivals use matching month/day labels on solar months. This is a display convention, not a religious-calendar conversion. The 30-day option preserves their distance from Nowruz. The Zoroastrian religious Shahanshahi calendar is distinct from the Imperial era used here; this page is not a community-specific religious calendar.
Gregorian anniversaries are converted each year, so their Imperial equivalent may shift by a day. Each occasion includes its own date basis. A modern commemoration or ritual date does not establish the exact date of an ancient historical event.
